Your dog doesn’t necessarily “go feral” if it attacks you. Sometimes, dogs get stressed and you could be the trigger or they are redirecting that stress onto you. My very sweet dog once turned and bit me on my nose because my husband did something that startled her and I tried to grab her at the same time. It was a reflexive response which, when in a calm state, she would never do. I think she was a shocked as I was, but you certainly don’t want to ignore the incident either.
