When guests come to stay at our home for a few days, then we respect them. We arrange for their meals, bedding and other basic requirements etc. We prepare their favourite food items. We also take them to some good places to entertain them. I have never been to anyone's house as an unwanted guest. But I believe I would definitely feel bad in such a situation
