Shivering helps keep your body warm. This is an example of a metabolic way that endotherms can regulate their body temperature. ... In contrast, ectothermsrely on behavior to regulate their body temperature. They must move their bodies into the shade or sun to cool down or warm up.

for example in case of human being there is cooling of the body when the outside temperature rises so as to maintain a constant body temperature.

Explanation:

  • Palm and soles of  hand has skin with the greatest number of Sweat glands.
  • They are actually distributed almost all of the body but found more in skin. It forms the primary cooling system in human body. There are two main parts of sweat glands, “apocrine and eccrine”. These are “coiled tubular glands” that removes the secretion directly on to the surface of the skin. They found in head and less in trunk and extremities.
  • In addition to this the vasodilation of the skin also helps in losing excess amount of heat from the body
