Have you ever wondered why it is hotter in the summer than in the the winter? Have you ever wondered why the days of summer are longer than the days of winter? Why does this happen?

Because the earth's axis is tilted. It is all about the tilt of the Earth's axis. Many people believe that the temperature changes because the Earth is closer to the sun in summer and farther from the sun in winter. In fact, the Earth is farthest from the sun in July and is closest to the sun in January.
And because of the farther and nearness the variations in periods of days and night in both summer and winter can be observed/seen

Days are hotter in summer as compaired to winter because the falls directly of the particular region and hence the day remains longer
