A drip is also known as a cannula or intravenous fluids that allow direct medications to the veins.

Explanation:

  • A drip bottle is a way through which the doctors and nurses are able to provide the medicines quickly to the body through the veins.
  • The medical professionals first inject a needle containing a plastic tube into the veins. Then the plastic tube is connected with the bottle which is slightly elevated.
  • The medical professionals insert a needle at the top part of the drip to allow air to enter into the bottle and expedite the flow of the liquids within the bottle.

Answer :

Medicine from the bottle wil be pushed down only when air pushes it down. In order to create pressure inside the bottle air should enter it. To create pressure an injection needle is fixed at the top of a drip bottle.
