Having a positive attitude means being optimistic about situations. Robert Frost could very well have written this one simple line instead of writing a poem where he uses metaphors extensively to convey the same thought. Comment on his heavy usage of metaphors in the poem Dust of Snow.

Answer:

Robert Frost uses heavy metaphors in the poem Dust of Snow to convey how to find positivity in negative things. The crow shakes off the snow dust from the hemlock tree. Similarly one can shake off the sadness from one’s heart. Next, the poet has tried to bring the difference between the fire and the ice. The ice of hatred is as powerful as the fire of desire and can end of this world. Then the poet contrasts a tiger in the zoo with the tiger in its real natural habitat. He wanted to show the difference between the two environments. But even in situations of hopelessness we can change our mood to a joyful and happy mood. We should enjoy nature and have a positive outlook on simple acts because they help us to enjoy life more.
