There are few known reasons why a person requests for stop payment on the cheque issued. If a buyer finds the product purchased is a defective one or if the product is not the one he / she thought of buying. And it so happens that the buyer cannot contact the seller.

In case of lose of cheque or if the cheque is stolen, a person can opt for stop payment of the cheque. And also if the person finds that there is insufficient fund in his account. There are several other reasons too for choosing for stop-payment of issued cheques.
