Fomula used: R = rho × L/A

Here, rho=resistivity and it is constant for same material.

L= length of the conductor.

A = area of cross section.

Given : rho = 1.6 × 10^-3 ohm m

Diameter = 0.5mm, that is Area = 3.925 × 10^-6 m^2

R = 10 ohm

So, L = RA / rho

L = 10 × 3.925 × 10^-6 ÷ 1.6 × 10^-3

L = 0.024 m

From the formula used above Resistance will change by 1/4 of the original resistance.
