Hay mate,
Question => An iron ball at 40°C is dropped in a mug containing water at 40°C. The heat will be
(1). Flow from iron ball to water

(2). Not flow from the iron ball to water or from water to iron ball

(3). Flow from water to iron ball

(4). Increase the temperature of both

The correct option is (2). Not flow from the iron ball to water or from water ball to iron..



REASON...

Because the temperature of both iron and water is is same i.e. 40°C... And because of same temperature there will be no transfer of heat...

But it can flow from higher temperature to lower temperature.. i.e. diffusion because in diffusion gas/heat flow from high concentration to lower concentration...

So, heat flows from hotter end to it's cooler end means from hot to cold...
