Following are the three Newton's laws of motion:
1) If an object is in the state of rest, it will remain in the state of rest and if it is in the state of motion, it will remain moving with the same velocity in the same direction, unless an external force is applied on it.
2) The rate of change of momentum of an object is directly proportional to the force applied on it and the change in momentum is in the direction in which the force is applied.
3) To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
