Answer:

GIVEN :

HCF = 5, LCM = 60 and One number is 15.

FIND :

We have to find the other number.

SOLUTION :

• Let other number be M.

We know that..

\star{ \bold{ \boxed{Product\:of\:two\:numbers\: = \: LCM\:\times\:HCF}}}⋆

Productoftwonumbers=LCM×HCF

Product of two zeros = One number × Other number.

So,

One number × Other number = LCM × HCF _______ (eq 1)

Put the known values in (eq 1)

=> 15 × M = 60 × 5

=> 15M = 300

=> M = 20

\huge{\bold{M\:=\:20}}M=20

(Other number)

☆ VERIFICATION :

From above calculations we have M = 20

Put value of M in (eq 1)

=> 15 × 20 = 60 × 5

=> 300 = 300

hcf \times lcm = product \: of \: two \: numbers

5 \times 60  = 15 \times x

x =  \frac{5 \times 60}{15}

x = 20
