HCF =

Factors of 100 = 1,2,4,5,10,20,25,50,100

Factors of 190 = 1,2,5,10,19,38,95,190

Thus, the HCF is 10.

LCM =

Prime factors of 100 =  2 × 2 × 5 × 5

Prime factors of 190 = 2 × 5 × 19

Thus LCM = 2 × 2 × 5 × 5 × 19 = 1900

The LCM of 100 and 190 is 1900

Given:

Two numbers 100 and 190.

Solution:

HCF (Highest common factor) (or) the greatest common divisor of two or more integers (which  are non -zero ) is the largest number that can divide each of these integers.

The factors of 100 = 1, 2, 4, 5,10, 20, 25, 50, 100

Factors of 190 = 1, 2, 5, 10, 19, 38, 95, 190

Thus, clearly the HCF for 100 and 190 is 10.

LCM = “Least common multiple” is the least number which is a “multiple” of the two are more given intergers.

LCM can be done methodically by prime factorisation method for larger numbers.

Prime \quad factors \quad of \quad 100 = 2\times 2\times 5\times 5

Prime \quad factors \quad of \quad 190 = 2\times 5\times 19

Thus,

LCM = 2\times 2\times 5\times 5\times 19 = 1900
