When you take the difference between any two the resultant will be divisible by h . The reverse reasoning states that HCF can’t be more than the difference. > closest numbers : 348 and 319
> difference : 348–319=29
> Now, since the difference came out to be a prime number, you only need to check the numbers with 29 . Otherwise you would have also checked with it’s factors.
