Euclid's divison algorithm: a-bq=r
In your case: a=1080,b=220
Substite in the eqn until r becomes 0.
1. 1080-220(4)=200
now take a=220 and b=200
2. 220-200(1)=20
as you followed in the previous step,
a=200,b=20
3. 200-20(10)=0
Now your final "q" value is your H.C.F,that is 10
