Here the given Numbers : 1456 and 1556

To Find : HCF (Highest Common Factor) of the above numbers.

Solution :

Euclid's Division Lemma :

a = bq+r , 0≤r<b

Then ,

1556>1456

1556 = 1456 × 1 + 100

1456 = 100 × 14 + 56

100 = 56 × 1 + 44

56 = 44 × 1 + 12

44 = 12 × 3 + 8

12 = 8 × 1 + 4

8 = 4 × 2 +0

So the required Highest Common Factor is 4.
