as we know Euclid Division lemma is
Dividend=DivisorxQuotient+Remainder
i.e. a=bq+r
Now put 180 in the place of a
and put 24 in the place of b
so,
180=24x7+12
24=12x2+0
so our remainder comes 0 on our step 2
and our last Divisor is 12 so the HCF of 180 and 24 is 12
