- HCF is abbreviated as Highest Common Factor. It is also known as the Greatest Common Divisor(GCD).
- HCF is the highest number which divides each of the two or more numbers is called the Highest Common Factor.
Continue Division Method :
- We use the continued division method for finding the highest common factor of two or more numbers.
- First, Divide the larger number by smaller numbers.
- Then the remainder becomes divisor and the divisor becomes dividend. This will continue until the remainder is 0.
- The divisor which does not leave a remainder is the H.C.F.
