HCF is the highest common factor( the numbers multiplied to produce the number in all selected numbers)
first see what is a factor----
factors are numbers multiplied to produce the number.
example factor of 10 is 1, 2, 5,10
so here any number can completely divide 10 without leaving a remainder.
In many numbers factors of all numbers are taken and then the one or many factors are compared and the bigger number is the HCF of the given numbers.
example find hcf of 10 and 15
so factors of 10 are 1, 2, 5,10. and those of 15 are 1,3,5,15
so the highest common factor is 5...
