the simplest way to find LCM and HCF is finding it's factors.

for example.....

let imagine 8 and 16 .

factors of 8=1, 2,4,8

factors of 16=1, 2,4,8,16,

now, the lcm refers to least common factor.

the the smallest common factor rather than 1 is 2 so the lcm is 2.

hcf refers to highest common factor.

the highest common factor is 8 so hcf is 8
