hydrochloric acid and nitric acid show acidic character in aqueous solution while alcohol and glucose do not it is because not all compounds containing hydrogen are acids ethanol and glucose Aao valent compounds and do not produce hydrogen ions in their solutions so these compounds do not show acidic character in their solutions however the sulphuric acid and hydrochloric acid are acidic in nature because they produce their free ions

Answer:

Solutions like HCl, HNO3 etc. get ionised in aqueous solutions and due to the presence of H+ ions they show acidic characters. While solutions of compounds like alcohol and glucose do not form any such ions so they do not show acidic characters.
