HCL and HNO3 ionize in the aqeous solution to produce H+ ions. So, they show acidic character.
Alcohols and glucose though contain hydrogen but do not ionize in the aqeous solution to produce H+ ions. Therefore, they do not show acidic character in their aqeous solution.
