HCl is a high corrosive mineral acid but the stomach remains safe from it becoz our stomach is protected by the mucus . it is the lining of the stomach . We all know that HCl is highly corrosive mineral acid.

Answer :- Hydrochloric acid is present in the stomach . It kills the harmful microbes . But as known , HCl is highly corrosive in nature . Therefore , a layer of mucus is present in the stomach walls that keeps it safe from its corrosive nature .
