HCl is a strong acid. But acetic acid is weak in nature. Give reason?

The acidity is measured by the number of hydrogen ions an acid releases on being dissolved in water. Thus, HCl is considered to be a strong acid as it has higher number of hydrogen ions, whereas acetic acid contains very little number of hydrogen ions so it is considered as a weak acid.
