HCL IS A COVALENT COMPOUND. THIS IS BECAUSE HYDROGEN AND CHLORINE SHARES ONE ELECTRON TO BECOME STABLE.

IT IS CONSIDERED AS A POLAR COVALENT COMPOUND BECAUSE CHLORINE BEING LARGER IN SIZE, HIGHLY ELECTRONEGATIVE PULL HYDROGEN TOWARDS CHLORINE ATOM.

CONSIDER THE ABOVE PICTURE.

SO SINCE CHLORINE ATOM PULLS HYDROGEN ATOM TOWARDS IT,HCL IS CONSIDERED AS A POLAR COVALENT COMPOUND.

I HOPE IT HELPS. PLEASE LIKE IT AND MARK IT AS THE BRANLIEST ANSWER.

HCL is a polar covalent compound? Because Cl is electronegative in nature and attracts bonded pair of elecrons. Due to the higher electronegativity of chlorine than hydrogen. Chlorine attract the electron towards itself and becomes polar.
