Hello friend

In order for an acid to be an organic one, it has to be carbon based. HCl has no carbon atoms in it. Hence, it is not considered to be an organic acid, even if it's produced inside our stomachs.

Hashtag: com on then why carbonic acid is inorganic or mineral.acid (H2CO3)

swapnil756: what do u want
Hashtag: i want to know why carbonic acid is considered as a mineral acid still it is having carbon
Ayesha143: HCl isn't called an organic acid. It's a mineral acid or inorganic acid.

Organic acids are things like acetic acid, citric acid, lactic acids
Ayesha143: carbonic acids are considered as mineral acid instead of contains hydrogen and carbon because it has ionic bounds while on the other hand some acids containing hydogen and carbon are considered as organic acid because it has covalent bounds
Hashtag: thanks
