Given :  a sequence 3 ,  6   , 12    , 24  , ..............

To find : 5th and 8th terms of the sequence

Solution:

3 ,  6   , 12    , 24  , ..............

Sequence is an GP  ( geometric progression )

where a = First term  = 3

& Common ratio  r  =  2

nth term of an GP  = arⁿ⁻¹

5th term  n = 5

= (3) 2⁵⁻¹  = 3 * 2⁴  = 3 * 16  = 48

8th term  n = 8

= (3) 2⁸⁻¹  = 3 * 2⁷  = 3 * 128  = 384

5th Term  = 48  & 8th term = 384

Option C is correct
