Given : bought some oranges from india at ŔS 100 per kg Decided to sell them for ŔS 200 per kgc at Thimphu. After having paid ŔS 5 per kg

To find : markup %

Solution:

Oranges bought  for   Rs 100 /kg

Transportation Cost = Rs 5 kg

Cost price = 100 + 5 = RS 105 /kg

Selling Price  = Rs 200 kg

Price Mark up = 200 - 105  = Rs 95 / kg

Mark up  % = (95/105) * 100 =  90.5 %
