He gave his book to harish change into passive voice
Answers
Answer:-
- His book was given to Harish (by him).
Explanation :-
■ Active voice : When the subject itself does the work, the verb is in active voice. The subject is doer here.
■ Passive Voice : When the subject does not do the work, the verb is in passive. The subject is not doer here.
- The doer in passive voice is less important and not always expressed.
- Only the transitive verbs can be used in passive.
■ Rules :-
- The object of the active voice becomes the subject in passive.
- The subject of the active voice becomes the object in passive preceded by "by".
- The main verb in active voice is changed into 3rd form of the verb.
- The 3rd form must be preceded by verb be. The tense of the verb be is determined by the tense of the active verb.
• There is no passive for perfect continuous tense.
• The verb be is must for passive voice.
