Active Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject is performing the action.

Passive Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order

Example: George saw a movie. (Active)

               A movie was seen by George. (Passive)

NOTE: Sentences that convey habitual actions cannot be changed to passive mode.

He had killed a dog. (Active)

A dog had been killed by him. (Passive)

Active and Passive voice ;

"Active voice directly expresses that the subject is the doer of the object .

AND

"Passive voice focuses rather on the subject more because here the subject matters ."

• Verb form and tenses are changed accordingly when converted from Active to Passive and vice versa .

Your answer ;

A dog was killed by him .
