This is a sentence with two subjects. It is in comparative degree. It is in affirmative form.
To change it into negative , follow the following steps.
01.Change the position of the subject, i.e the first into the second and the second into the first.
02.Then put ‘not’ ( adverb ) after the auxiliary.
03.Do not change the case forms of the subjects. Retain them in nominative case only.
04.Using of verb after the second subject is implied.
I ( subject 01 ) was not taller than he.( subject o2 ) ( was )
Other examples :
Knowledge is more useful than money.
( Affirmative form )
Money is not so useful as knowledge.
