There is a whole lot of difference between a desktop computer and a washing machine although both run of programs that are present. Hence the statement is not correct. A desktop computer stores the files that are written on them but a washing machine can only follow a diverse set of commands only for washing clothes. It is the computer that makes the program for the washing machine to run and not otherwise.
