  • The inverted commas are removed and a conjunction is added. Here, ‘that’ is added.
  • The simple present tense changes to simple past tense.  
  • So, the second form of the verb ‘meet’ i.e., ‘met’ will be used in the reported speech.
  • Also, here will be changed to there.
