Answer :

Change of Person :

By using the SON rule in reported speech, the word "I" changes to "he" because the first person change according to the reporting verb of subject.

Change of Tense :

By using the rule of changing tense in reported speech, the simple present tense in the direct speech is changed into the simple past tense in the indirect speech. The next thing is that the word "will" in the direct speech is changed into "would" in the indirect speech. Reporting verb say/says/said is used when after reporting verb, object is not present. If the object is present, use tell/tells/told.

Answer :

He said that he would ring her.
