Indirect speech is a type of reported speech that we are repeating the same incident or thing what is already said by a person.

So we have to tense it into past tense and in terms of action.

So in the given question, it is said that ‘He said to his son. " Never tell a lie".

’If we change the sentence into indirect form, we get ‘He advised his son not to tell a lie’
