What is Narration?

Narration means speech.

Types of Narration :-

There are two types of Narration.

1. Direct Speech

2. Indirect Speech

1. Direct Speech :-

In this, the words of the speaker are told or written as they are.

There is no change in those words.

2. Indirect Speech :-

In this, the words of the speaker are told or written in our own language.

There is change in those words.

Rules of Narration :-

Narration is done in all i. e. five kinds of sentences.

Those are as

1. Simple Sentence

2. Wh. Question

3. Verbal Question

4. Imperative Sentence

5. Exclamatory Sentence

In the given sentence :-

The given reported speech is Imperative Sentence.

In case of Imperative Sentence, the words requested / ordered / commanded / summoned / advised etc. are used instead of 'said to'.

The conjunction used is 'to'.

The other changes are done as per the rules.

Also, the opposite word of 'come' i. e. 'go' is used.

Hence,

The changed narration of the given sentence is as

He requested me to go with him.

Hope it helps!
