let the sides of the triangle be X/2 , X /3 and X / 4

according to the question :-

x/2 + x/3 + x/4 = 52

6x + 4x + 3x / 12 = 52

13x = 52×12

x = 52×12/13

x = 48

length of sides = X/2 = 48/2 = 24 cm

X/3 = 48/3 = 16 cm

X/4 = 48/4 = 12 cm

Hence the length of smallest side is 12 cm

CHECKING RESULTS :-

24+16+12 = 52

52 = 52
