He wants to divide land into three parts, s.t.
two parts to be given to his sons equally
and third part stays with himself .So for
that he puts points P and Q on AD and BC
respectively, Such that, DP = 1/3 AD and QB
= 1/3 CB.
(i) Now find Which two parts will he, give to
his sons, also prove that the parts are
equal. (3)
(ii) Which shape of field does the farmer
got for himself? Prove. (4)
(iii) Now if the length of sides AD and CD
are 36km and 17km. and CP = 25km, And
the shortest distance between PC and AQ
is 10km. Then find the areas of land for
each of the son and the area that farmer
