Tut’s grandfather, named Amenhotep III was a very powerful ruler and ruled for more than 40 years. Tut’s father, Amenhotep IV ruled after Tut’s grandfather. He changed the capital of the kingdom from Thebes to Akhenaten. He was the strongest ruler in Egyptian history and he attacked the nearby states and got more powerful.
