Health education is the development of individual, group, institutional, community and systemic strategies to improve health knowledge, attitudes, skills and behavior. The purpose of health education is to positively influence the health behavior of individuals and communities as well as the living and working conditions that influence their health.

Through the health education we learn about our health and how to improve our condition. We can also learn about various kinds of disease and their cure. If we have knowledge about health we can decrease the risk of any disease to have. It helps in the improvement of healthy life for all people. It also reduces premature death and reduces cost of medicine that a person spends on medical treatment. Improvement in health especially in rural area is the main goal of this education.
