I believe that a healthy environment supports healthy and happy life . what makes us happy is different from one person to the next . no matter what environment we are exposed to , we usually learn what it is that does make us happy . it seems most people seek what they want if they dont have it . there are also those decisions we make that are more difficult to change once we get there if we don't like the outcome. then there are things that happen both good and bad that we have no control over . I think if a person has something happen to them out of their control that they dislike , it can sometimes make someone feel defeated that they either give up on seeking happiness or it takes a very long time for them to find the motivation to try once again . I like the saying ," you can't control which way the wind blows but you can adjust the sail ."
