  • An Eating Disorder ( ED ) is a mental disorder defined by abnormal eating habits that negatively affect a person's physical and/or mental health.

Anorexia Nervosa :-

  • An eating disorder causing people to obsess about weight and what they eat.
  • Anorexia is characterised by a distorted body image, with an unwarranted fear of being overweight.

Bulimia :-

  • A serious eating disorder marked by bingeing, followed by methods to avoid weight gain.
  • Bulimia is a potentially life-threatening eating disorder.

Binge eating disorder :-

  • Frequently consuming unusually large amounts of food in one sitting and feeling that eating behaviour is out of control.

Steps to Avoid them :-

  1. You should not think about being obese.
  2. There should be self body positivity.
  3. There should be positive environment.
  4. Help them if they are somehow feeling this or going through this.
  5. Seek help and talk to someone about it.
