Hearing the answer I became speechless. He said to me, "You have broken<br />he glass<br />told "Did you see me to tell a lie anytime?" He became silent. Then he told very weakly, "No.<br />but I was not there you know". "Then why didn't you tell mother this?" Two drops of tears<br />rolled on his cheeks. He said, "Please, don't mind, apu. Actually for my result. I'm quite<br />upset.​

This is a subject which needs a quite brief explanation for understanding purpose

But at a very basic level we should keep in mind the following things :-

1) Identify the narration and the reported verb.

2) Change of tense (according to rules), pronouns and date or time specific words.

3) Never place that in a reported question while changing.

4) Use if/whether and place the subject in first place in case of yes/no type questions.

5) In imperative sentences go according to the situations.

For Example :- a sentence showing request should be changed by adding the word requested to...

6) The Sentences including the use of let should be changed according to the situations

7) Exclamatory sentences should have the use of exclaimed and expressing words.with the required tense.
