- The priest is aware that the peasants turned to God while they were in trouble, but when God delivered them and made them happy, they simply stopped remembering him. This let the priest understand why God did not see them as True Devotees.
The poem is a beautiful way of telling that God is the supreme power of all and one must have immense faith in God who will save them in extreme difficulties.
