Heat applied to a piece of metal will cause:- increase in its mass increase in its internal energy increase in its volume increase in its density

If any matter is heated the molecules of matter are started vibrating faster when it reaches to its boiling point it changes its phase.
when solid changes into liquid its density decreases ,volume increases but mass remains same as before and i think its internal energy also increases.
