Heat energy can be measured using a calorimeter.
According to the principle of calorimetry:-
Heat lost by hot body=heat gained by cold body.
The S.I unit of heat energy is J(joule).
And ,I think you should have heard about energy or work whose S.I unit is joule(J). Since,heat is also a form of energy hence it is measured in joule(J).
