temperature is actually the level of heat present in surrounding. that's why Temperature is directly proportional to heat . when heat increased then temperature also increases and vise versa.

Aniramesh36: Thank You Rs421 you helped me sort it out.

Answer:

Temperature is a measure of the kinetic energy of motion of the molecules. The equation can be derived from Statistical methods found in the Kinetic Molecular Theory of Gases. Suffice it to say that Kinetic energy is directly proportional to absolute Temperature. As we add heat to a substance, we speed up the motion of the molecules in substance, hence, we increase their kinetic energy. So as we add heat to a substance, the temperature Increases.

Temperature is the effect that we use to measure how much heat (q) we admitted into the system. The equation for this is given as

q = C delta T.

Note that the equation shows a variable C, heat capacity. This takes into account the heat that goes into the vibrations in the molecules instead of just the kinetic energy. Molecules with larger amounts of vibrations have higher heat capacities. So as we add heat to a system (q), some of it goes into the molecular vibrations (represented by C) and some of it goes into speeding up the molecules (measured by the rise in T).
