let the nos of minutes be x

since this is in direct proportion, which means more the nos of customers  more the nos of minutes needed

so the proportion between customers and minutes are

12 : 9  :: 444: x

12*x  = 9 * 444  [product of the extreme = [product of the means ]

x  =6 * 444 / 12

x= 333 minutes  [ 5 hrs 33 mins ]

ANS    for  444 customers there must be 333 minutes  [ 5 hrs 33 mins ]
