Answer:

when current I is passing through a resistor R, the electric power that generates heat is given by the formula I²R. so,

             P= R

Here P is power/heat produced,I is current and R is resistance.

   P = (2.5)²X 200

      = 6.25 x 200

      = 1250 Watts.

Current (I) = 2.5 amp,

time(t) = 1 sec

We know that according to Joule's law of heating

H = I2RT

H = (2.5)2×200×1

H = 1250 J/s
