Heavy rain accompained by thunderstorm causes called electrical storm.

The moisture condenses into water droplets in the cooler, upper regions of the atmosphere. The water droplets fall down as rain or freeze and fall as hail. The swift movement of the falling water droplets along with the rising air create lightning and sound which we call as Thunderstorm.
