Hector Hugh Munro (1870 - 1916) was a British short story writer. He
also wrote a short novel, a few plays and a historical study The Rise of
the Russian Empire.
Munro is widely regarded as one of the greatest short story writers
of all times. Some of his famous ones are The Open Window', 'Mrs
Packletide's Tiger', 'The Interlopers' and 'The Bull'. He is better known
by his pen name Saki.
